The item was shipped in a timely manner and arrived in perfect shape. Will do business again, thanks.
All in all highly recommended for those who have a compatible Canon printer (e.g., Pixma MP160) and are finding that there is actually no ink left in the current cartridge. Just keep using the existing cartridge until it really is out of ink.
It is a well made plastic cartridge that holds a small number of ml of black ink. Yes, this is a case of getting just what you thought you would get when you order this item.
It should be noted that the supplied software will indicate that there is a low ink condition far in advance of when you actually run out of ink. It is a genuine Canon product and thus your Canon printer will recognize it as such, and initially set the ink remaining indicator to full.
(This is not the case with a remanufactured item. As usual Amazon came through with reasonably prompt "Super Saver" shipping.
Make sure to recycle these too; both for your benefit and as a good thing for the Earth.
I was quite pleased with the ink cartridge. I will be ordering more from Amazon.com. This was for a Canon printer.
As a musician who works from home, I'm always having to print out music where a dot in the wrong place can change the music and really mess up a rehearsal, so accuracy and clarity is very important. After trying various brands of printer, cheap ink options et al, I have been very happy for over a year now with my Canon all-in-one. Having learned my lesson with cheaper inks, I plump for expensive Canon ink which I buy from Amazon as their price is good. Key here is that after a year of constant use, the printer is spitting out good print copy and I think that has a lot to do with the fact that I use these ink cartridges.
Just a note on the PG-30 substitute that I bought. It quickly ran out and the printer does not really tell you how much is left if it is not a Canon product. For a dollar or so, buy the Canonn original and save the headache.
